MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

Information and Communication Technologies account for between 5% and 9% of the total electricity consumption. Despite the potential of digital solutions and applications to balance and overcome the impact of climate change on our planet, their use is growing and increasingly damaging the environment. Safeguarding our planet is a priority we can no longer ignore in  the digital transformation process our whole society is undergoing.

Mission

Digital for Planet is a non-profit organisation that brings together digital innovators, researchers, public authorities, civil society, and citizens at work to ensure digital transformation and sustainability go hand in hand. We are a community of organisations and people aiming at  realising a digitally-empowered society that ensures equal opportunities for everyone and guarantees to rescue and protect our environment. Our mission is to make the twin green and digital transition a reality. 

To make this happen, Digital for Planet works in line with the priorities set within the Digital Decade path, the European Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals to support Europe’s climate neutrality and establish a sustainable digital future all around the globe.
