IT’S OFFICIAL, D4P AND BDVA ENTER A PARTNERSHIP!

Digital for Planet is thrilled to announce its partnership with BDVA, which will ensure that digital transformation and sustainability go hand in hand while also maximizing the impact of this collaborative effort.

Digital for Planet and the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) have joined forces to address the complex challenges associated with Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation.

Dr Monique Calisti, Founder and President of Digital for Planet, and Thomas Hahn, President of BDVA, signed a memorandum of collaboration to formalise this milestone on November 23, 2022, on the renowned stage of the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF).

“We are running out of time to save our planet. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that ICT communities and relevant stakeholders come together to bridge the gap between digital transformation and sustainability. Therefore, Digital for Planet and BDVA are joining forces to help our society and economy move forward in a sustainable way”, said Dr Monique Calisti.

 About the Partnership

This collaboration between Digital for Planet and the Big Data Value Association represents a significant step forward for both organisations, which are dedicated to advancing the development and deployment of open, inclusive, and sustainable digital technologies and solutions to empower individuals and organisations in addressing the world’s major climate emergency and environmental challenges.

BDVA brings its community and expertise to this partnership, particularly in the areas of big data and AI technologies and services and will participate in Digital for Planet activities and Working Groups. Digital for Planet will help raise awareness about green digital initiatives, policies, and funding opportunities throughout the BDVA ecosystem. Both organisations will actively support each other and their members to ensure our society and economy undergo a green digital transformation.

About the Big Data Value Association

The Big Data Value Association   is an industry-driven organisation with a mission to develop an innovation ecosystem that enables the data-driven digital transformation of the economy and society in Europe. BDVA has over 240 members all over Europe and a well-balanced composition of large, small, and medium-sized industries as well as research and user organizations. We focus on advancing areas such as big data technologies and services, data platforms and data spaces, industrial AI, data-driven value creation, standardisation, and skills.
